SIMS: Moving SIMS Servers

If  you are changing or moving your SIMS server there is generally no effect on how you use Parents Evening or the SIMS Extract Tool.

This is because the Extract Tool can be installed on any computer that has access to your SIMS server. It then connects to the server using the same configuration as the SIMS.net installation on that computer.

For those schools who have chosen to have the Extract Tool installed on their SIMS server, you will need to reinstall it on the new server. You can find instructions on how to do this here: SIMS: How to set up SIMS Integration.
